That's not the gist of it. All three types of resources are indispensable in Wikipedia admin decisions but they all have their risks and problems. What I say is that situations where "democracy + morality" are predominant are particularly problematic and that in these cases formal rules can help to boil the whole thing down.
Possibly it would be interesting to apply the argumentation to a hotly debated issue in German wikipedia, viz. the debate about the genealogical cross (latin crux) for the date of death.--Mautpreller (talk) 09:00, 11 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
