- Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)
We are highly passionate and dedicated volunteers. We are part of one of the most amazing movements of our generation and perhaps one that can change how future generations will perceive knowledge.
We also have been entrusted by several thousand people with that project. Whether it is indirectly by the readers that use our projects on a daily basis or by our donors that provide for our financial needs.
This trust request that we are able to face hard questions, recognize our failures and make drastic changes. I know by experience that facing failures is one of the hardest thing to do as a wikimedian. But it is harder to dare make drastic changes to be more efficient as a volunteer, as an organization and even more as a movement. But I believe that it is our responsibility to do so.
In 30mn I'll share with the audience my own failures as a volunteer and as a board member. I will also try to explain to you the process we went through as Wikimedia France to reach the point we're at right now: able to face failures, to act upon it and to change drastically our organization.
