Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

This presentation will explain the work done around Vachana Sanchaya (http://vachana.sanchaya.net) to digitize 11th and 12th Century en:Vachana Sahitya in Kannada. This platform was built to enable linguists and researchers to research on Kannada language growth during Vachana Sahitya revolution. Also, this project enabled people of Karnataka to easily search and read over 20930 vachanas of around 259 Vachanakaara's (poets) in Unicode for the first time. Linguists are working around this project to review the vachana's with the help of various resources available before contributing them to Kannada Wiki Source. This is one of such biggest efforts to collaborate with subject experts in Kannada Wiki Project.
