Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

Commons has from the start been an educational project in its own right, however some wikipedians see Commons merely as a resource for their own purposes this together with the fact that Commons has developed a culture and ethos of its own has led to the claims by a vocal minority that Commons is broken and for its scrapping. Commons itself is not broken, though the relationship between the two may be strained if not broken; this presentation hopes to rebuild bridges.
