Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)

PLOS Labs has developed a new tool for evaluating scientific articles called Open Evaluation. In science, peer review takes place at a single time point, in private, and anonymously. We are providing a complement to this: a web-based application for peers to evaluate each other's work at any time point in a paper's life cycle, publicly, with one's real name and identity attached. In this session, we'll discuss progress on the tool and the community with a working demo of OE and show how the results can be aggregated across evaluators and for individual papers.
